"It is appointed unto men to die once, and after this, the judgment."
Hebrews 9:27
Everything in this world is fading...even the eyes reading this very page. Every passing second is one stroke closer to death. And not a second more is promised. We are all one heartbeat away from eternity. And death is crouching at the door.
The most important thing in this life-is your soul. Our time in this world is nothing more than a flash in the pan or the snap of a finger. From dust we are, and to dust we shall return. We're only here for a moment--and we're gone in the next...but what happens next will last forever because your soul is eternal.
"What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"
Mark 8:36
Where you go after death is determined conclusively on the day of judgment.
On that day your entire life will be put on trial. And the Bible tells us exactly how we will be tried of God:
Every action taken, openly and behind closed doors, will be judged whether good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:14
Not only will every evil action be punished, but also every good action not taken. James 4:17
Every corrupt word spoken will be accounted for. Matthew 12:37
As will every good word withheld. Matthew 12:36
Every thought you've ever had will be tested. Jeremiah 17:10
And every intention behind those thoughts will be weighed, whether wicked or righteous. Proverbs 21:2
Every secret will be exposed. Romans 2:16
Everything hidden will come to light. 1 Corinthians 4:5
And every one of us will give a complete account of their lives to the one who gave them life. Romans 14:12
The Bible also shows us that every thought, every intention, every word, every action, and every deed examined above, will be judged against God's universal law, written on the heart and conscience of every human being, summarized in the 10 Commandments.
When you stand before your Maker, every moment will be measured against His standard of righteousness, and you will either be found innocent or guilty. There is no middle ground. There is no purgatory. There is no second chance.
Those who are innocent will go to Heaven Matthew 25:34. Those who are guilty will go to Hell fire Matthew 25:41. And whether Heaven or Hell, there you will remain permanently Matthew 25:46.
Are you ready for the appointment?
Very few are. Very few consider the gravity of this day, and even fewer do anything about it. Against God's will, we all have gone astray. We all have sinned. We all have rebelled against Him. We all fall short of His glory. We all have broken His law.
If you allow these words to sink into your heart and honestly examine yourself 2 Corinthians 13:5, you will realize that me, you, and everyone around us has revolted against God to such a degree, and has shattered every one of His holy commandments a thousand times over. As The Lord exposes every secret, makes known everything hidden, and brings all of your darkness to the light, will you pass the judgment?
Even on your best day, your sins would convict you. Even in your purest hour you would appear to God as nothing more than a filthy rag Isaiah 64:6. And if you take that and multiply it by every other sin you've committed throughout your life-the only possible result is death. And your only possible destination is Hell.
When you stand before the flaming eyes of God, under the magnifying glass of divine justice, not only will you melt at the horror of your guilt, but you will violently, desperately flee from His holy presence in unbearable shame, a convicted criminal, bound for destruction. You won't be able to stand. You won't be able to speak. Your mouth will be silenced. And justice will be executed.
But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound...
God does not want anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9). He does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11). He does not desire the destruction of the sinner (Ezekiel 18:32), but their deliverance.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
Deep down you know it's true! If only you'd pull your head out from under the sand, you'd see.
"What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"
Mark 8:36

"It is appointed unto men to die once, and after this, the judgment."
Hebrews 9:27
Where you go after death is determined conclusively on the day of judgment.
On that day your whole life will be put on trial. Every second you spent on earth, every action you've ever taken, every word you've ever spoken, and every thought you've ever had will be examined, weighed out, and measured against the perfect Law of God (Matthew 12:36). When you stand before your Maker, every moment will be judged by His standard of righteousness, and you will either be found innocent or guilty. There is no middle ground. There is no purgatory. There is no second chance.
Those who are innocent will go to heaven. Those who are guilty will go to hell fire (Matthew 5:22). And whether heaven or hell, there you will remain permanently.
Are you ready for the appointment?
Very few are. Very few consider the gravity of that day, and even fewer do anything about it. Against God's will, we all have gone astray. We all have sinned. We all have rebelled against Him. We all fall short of His glory. And we all have broken His law.
If you take these things to heart and truly examine yourself (2 Corinthians 13:5), you will realize that me, you, and everyone we know has revolted against God and has shattered every one of His holy commandments a thousand times over. As The Lord exposes every secret, makes known everything hidden, and brings all of your darkness to the light, will you pass the judgment?
"So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God."
Romans 14:12
It is written that every one of us will give an account of themselves to God on the day of judgment, but by whose standards are we accounted for?
Most people in this world measure themselves by themselves. And by comparing themselves to other ungodly, unrighteous people, they are able to convince themselves to be "good" by contrast.
Only a fool would measure with a false standard (2 corinthians 10:12, Proverbs 11:1). The wise know it is The Lord who judges. And as far as the heavens are above the earth, so are his ways higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9), and his standards than our standards.
No one is judged by their own standard of morality, but by the ultimate standard of morality established by God from the beginning, written on the heart and conscience of every human soul.
We all inherently know right from wrong. We know it's wrong to murder. We know it's wrong to commit adultery. We know it's wrong to steal. We know it's wrong to lie. We know we should honor our parents. No matter your race, nationality, or background, we all know the 10 commandments are true. And because of that, we are all without excuse (Romans 1:20, 2:15).
"There is none good, but one, that is God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
He saith unto him, Which?
Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
Matthew 19:17-19
Not only will we be judged according to God's commandments by our actions, but we will also be judged by our thoughts and intentions. Jesus explains this in greater depth throughout The Bible:
Whosoever looks at a woman with lust has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:28
If you are angry at, or insult your brother without cause, you are in danger of hell fire. Matthew 5:21-22
Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and no murderer has eternal life in him. 1 John 3:15
Every work, every action, and every secret and will be brought into judgment, and determined good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:14
Every idle word spoken will be judged and accounted for. By your words you will be justified, or condemned. Matthew 12:36
Not only will you be judged for every evil you chose to do, but you will also be judged for every good you chose not to do. James 4:17
And even if after all the evidence is examined, and you only broke one of God's laws, you'd be guilty of breaking them all. James 2:20-21
All it takes is one sin. One lie. One stolen good. One disrespectful outburst. One evil thought. One curse. One fight. One hateful word. One selfish motive. One lust. One unholy desire. It only takes one, and you have become undone. And each sin after, is only a greater level of judgment upon you. And the result of sin, is death (Romans 3:23). And death for the soul, is Hell.
If you plan to enter Heaven by your own goodness; and you are found guilty of breaking even one of God's laws, after He judges every moment of the life He gave you, you might as well have broken them all. A law breaker is a law breaker, whether once, or a thousand times over. And that's how God sees it. A criminal is a criminal. And no matter how good you think you are, no criminal will inherit the kingdom of God.
If you're anything like me, then even on your best day, your sins would convict you. And if you take that multiplied by every other second you've lived contrary to Him-the only possible result, is death. When you stand before the flaming eyes of God, under the magnifying glass of divine justice, not only will you melt at the horror of your guilt, but you will violently, desperately flee His holy presence in unbearable shame, a convicted criminal, bound for hell. You won't be able to stand. You won't be able to speak. Your mouth will be stopped. And justice will be executed.
When examining ourselves by the unbiased, uncompromised Truth, our own righteousness, and all self-righteousness, is nothing but a filthy, good for nothing, rag (Jeremiah 13:10).
"We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."
Isaiah 64:6
God is righteous. He is good. He is fair. He is just.
He is light, and in him is no darkness (1 John 1:5). He is Holy, and in him is no sin (Psalm 5:4). He is truth, and in him is no lie (John 14:6, Titus 1:2). God is Almighty, all knowing, and all powerful. He is full of grace, mercy, and peace. He fiercely loves that which is good. But with the same all consuming passion, he hates that which is evil.
As much as God loves the righteous, he hates the wicked (Psalm 5:5). As much as he loves holiness, he hates sin. As much as he loves children, he hates the murder of children. As much as he loves marriage, he hates adultery. As high as he lifts the humble, is how low he plunges the proud (Luke 18:14). With the same abundance that he rewards the innocent, he punishes the guilty. God is Love (1 John 4:8). But true love cannot allow evil to go unpunished.
Imagine a man was arrested for murdering a young woman, and he goes before a judge for sentencing. The judge examines the evidence. They found the murder weapon. They have eyewitness testimony and video footage of the crime. And the murderer even confessed to it. Imagine if after taking everything into account, the judge lets the criminal off penalty free. If a judge were to do that, he would be just as evil as the one they gave a free pass too.
"God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready. He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors."
Psalm 7:11-13
With God, it is not so. He judges and wages war in righteousness (Revelation 19:11). He delivers absolute justice, no matter the case. While it is not his will for anyone to perish, as the perfect judge, he must repay (Isaiah 59:18).
It is God's pleasure to give and create life. And he does not take any pleasure in the death of the wicked.
Romans 8:20 20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Hebrews 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Matthew 10:26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
Matthew 12:36
Ecclesiastes 12:14
1 John 3:4,8 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
James 2:10
1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Ecclesiastes 11:3 If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.
Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Fearful, dreadful, depressed, anxious, unsettled, empty, hopeless, without purpose, vain, void, lost, and in darkness. Destined for death. This is the condition of man without God. This is the condition of a soul that's condemned. This is the condition of a sinner who needs a savior... What is his name? And what is his son's name? (Proverbs 30:4) Surely you know it...
The bible says that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). The legal fine for breaking God's law is our own blood, our life. The payment due for our sin is death. The cost of our rebellion againt The cost of rebelling against The Life, is death. What did God do to save the world? What did he do to redeem the guilty sinner? We broke the law. Jesus paid the fine with his blood at The Cross. All the sins of the world were placed on him, and he was crushed as a substitute for all mankind, so that we can be set free, and
It is his will that none should perish, but all should come to repentance.
The wages of sin is death. The payment for breaking God's commandments, is your life. Because of sin, it is impossible for you to go to Heaven on your own merit. Because of sin, it is impossible for you to escape the judgment of Hell, alone.
"Wherefore The Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men..."
-Isaiah the prophet, Chapter 29
They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me...
The contemporary churches of today have convinced countless multitudes of souls that they're saved, when they're not.
People are taught if they make a public profession of faith in the form of an "altar call", or repeat a "sinner's prayer" and "believe in Jesus", then abracadabra they automatically go to Heaven when they die.
The truth is, you can believe the Bible. You can believe that Jesus rose from the grave. You can believe that He's God and that He's the only way to Heaven. And if you do, that's great...so does the Devil, and so do his demons.
"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."
-The Epistle of James, Chapter 2
Belief in itself does not save you. And teaching otherwise, like all these Christian radio stations, TV shows, and so called Churches do, leads the hearer into a false sense of security, and may ultimately land them in Hell fire.
Be not one of them...be not deceived...
"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
-Jesus of Nazareth, John Chapter 3
The Bible is absolutely clear
The born again Christian has no need to repeat anything because they confess Christ in their daily actions as they share the gospel with the lost world. Their confession is evident in their lifestyle, and their faith speaks for itself.
The unconverted should never be taught that if they believe Jesus is Lord, and confess that publicly, they are saved-because they have not been converted. It doesn't matter if they make a thousand public professions, and are baptized in every pool of water from here to the Jordan River. Until a person is baptized with The Holy Spirit, until you are born again, you are not saved, and declaring so publicly makes no difference either way.
"For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh."
-The Lord of Glory, Luke Chapter 6
The true confession is made out of the abundance of a man's heart - one that is has already been converted and filled with the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
"And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?"
In the very next verse Jesus rebukes those who profess Him publicly, but in hypocrisy. Thus showing a public confession in itself means absolutely nothing.
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."
-The King of kings and Lord of lords, Matthew Chapter 7
In one of the most severe and threatening passages in scripture, Jesus tells us plainly that Hell will be filled with Christians who professed Christ all the time, who prayed, went to church, gave to charity, and always "believed in Jesus". They called Him Lord. They believed in their hearts. They professed His name. They did all these "good works". But they never knew Him.
They never received Him (John 1:12). They were not born again. They confessed Him publicly every day of their lives. But that confession meant absolutely nothing.
"They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate."
-The apostle Paul by The Holy Spirit, Titus Chapter 1
Paul, like Isaiah, and Jesus Himself, emphasized that a public profession of faith means absolutely nothing. You know a tree by it's fruits. You know a man's faith by their works. Faith without works is dead. We are not justified by believing in Jesus alone, but by the way we live our lives. We do not profess Christ by a public confession before witnesses, but by living a life that shouts volumes of Jesus. James 2:14-26. Let us not be hearers only, but doers.
Slow down for a second and consider the following. Take a deep breath. Don't let anything distract you. And answer the following questions in your own mind, being completely truthful with yourself:
Have you ever taken The Lord's name in vain?
Have you ever disrespected your parents?
Have you lusted?
Have you hated?
Have you lied?
Have you stolen?
Do you curse when you talk?
Is there anger in your heart?
Is there bitterness and unforgiveness in your soul?
If you are anything like me, than you too have been guilty of breaking every single one of God's commandments
For he says in Isaiah this people on Earth me with their lips but their heart is far from me let us then not only call him Lord for that will not save us for he says not everyone that says unto me Lord Lord shall be saved but he that does righteousness right there in that area in scripture where it talks about he confessed me before others up but he tells you right there what is that confession your obedience to God how you live your life your works not that you're safe by works but that's how you know not by what you say but what we do
it's not about you saying he's Lord is that that you walk in it you obey him so all these people will say he's Lord but they don't follow him they're not his okay they're just not his
they're not saying okay and he says that's how we declare him not by saying oh Jesus is Lord that's not what he's saying it says people watch your life and they'll say that person is a Christian that person has changed how they live they're marked by that so if you're not marked by changing it like you're not marked by saying you're a Christian you're not marked by going to a church you're not marked by knowing the word of God you're not marked by coming in here you're not marked- you're marked by being a Christian because you live different than you were before
If you can to the Lord and he got baptized and you're born again if you were not radically changed you were not born again I mean you had to be radically changed everyone I know and you all know were radically changed and if that did not happen to you you have to examine yourself! you know that you were probably not changed okay you never had an encounter with Jesus
too many people have been Churched. If you have an encounter with Jesus Christ there's a passion there's a desire you can't wait to share the gospel you're not wooshy gushy like this what you see with all these people like oh I just want to help them! that's worldly garbage the people that do that are unsaved themselves they just perceive that that's what they're supposed to do because they believe they're saved
one who is saved is moved by the spirit if they're led by the spirit and the spirit is bold it's not timid the spirit is bold that you will share the truth you will not compromise the truth okay so this is how so you have to look at yourself and say are you saved how many times I show stuff to people think man I know some people that need to see this say why don't you get saved and then and then let them see you because people when you get saved other people will see you and they'll either run from you or they'll run with you Matthew 10:22
Are you saved?
Most people think they’re morally good. Most people believe that if they died today, they would likely go to heaven….but the opposite is true.
Only God is good. And all we like sheep have gone astray.
The Bible teaches that very few find the narrow way to life, while most go in the way of destruction.
Your eternal destiny is not something that should be taken lightly. It’s not something any rational person would take a gamble on. If there is any possible way for you to know
God gave us His word so that we may know Him. So that we may understand His character. So that we may have a way to be saved from our sins and the wickedness of this world. These things have been written so that we can know if we truly have eternal life, or not. There is proof. There is evidence. There is assurance of salvation and a way of discerning these things.
Examine yourself whether you are in the faith. Do you not know yourself, how that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you fail the test?
We have been so desensitized to sin. Anywhere and everywhere you look in this world is hatred and bloodshed, cursing and bitterness, lusting and anger. Sexual immorality and drunkenness, rioting and drug abuse. drinking, lusting, sex, and violence.
The Bible says we need to examine ourselves whether or not we are in the faith. How can you know that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you fail the test? There are tests you can take that will tell you if you are in the faith, if you have been born again, if you are on the road to Heaven or on the road to Hell, whether you are saved, or not. The scriptures are written "unto you, that you may know you have eternal life." Therefore you may also know if you don't have eternal life. The Bible tells us exactly how to get saved, what happens when you saved, and what it looks like when you are saved. The Word is very descriptive in illustrating the fruits of salvation, and examples of what happens to people when they become a disciple of Jesus Christ. Salvation and discipleship are inseparable. So do not listen to your fellow man, do not listen to a priest, do not listen to anyone or any voice or any religion, but the voice of God, and the Words of God recorded in scripture. The scriptures are the words of eternal life. The scriptures reveal the way and the truth to life. It is only by them that we can determine these things. The Bible says in Matthew 7 Lord Lord have we not done all these works in thy name, and prophesied in thy name, and given to charity in thy name, and cast out demons in thy name, and done all these things in your name? And The Lord said to them, depart from me, you workers of iniquity, I never knew you.
Many professing Christians are on the road to Hell, and will go straight to Hell when they give their last breath. Many professing CHRISTIANS. The Bible goes on to say that very few enter in at the narrow gate, and very few continue on the straight path before them. Very few find life. Very many choose death.
A lot of people say, "all you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ and you'll be saved." That is a lie. Let me repeat that. That is a LIE. Many churches today say that if you do a "sinners prayer" and get baptised, you're saved. That is a lie from the pit of Hell. That message comes from the snake of Eden. Repeat a few words and abracadabra you go to Heaven? That is not biblical. The Bible calls it a "vain repetition". Vanity. Accomplishes nothing. What is Biblical is the following:
Unless you are born again you cannot see the Kingdom of God. Unless The Spirit of Jesus Christ is in you, you are not in the faith. The Bible says you can know a tree by it's fruits, and so you can know a man's faith by his works. Therefore you can know if someone is saved or not based on evidence. Based on evidence displayed in a person's lifestyle. These fruits are represented in the following ways:
1) Do you have a testimony? (Exodus 13:3)
2) Have you brought forth fruits of repentance? (Matthew 3:8)
3) Do you display the fruit of the Spirit? love, joy, peace, self control...and did these fruits develop in you as you sought the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer, and you now have a continuing connection and relationship with Him.
4) Do you know Jesus? Do you actually know Him? Have you encountered (Acts 9:3) and experienced Him (Psalm 34:8)? Or do you just know about Him?
Titus 1:16 say that these people profess me with their lips but by their deeds, they deny me. Back to Matthew 7 the Lord says to these people, depart from me you criminals, Depart from me you who continue to live in sin. Hebrews 10:26 says, "For those who willfully sin after coming to the knowledge of the truth, there remains no sacrifice for sins, but the expectation of judgment and raging fire that will consume the enemies of God." These people go to church, they know of Jesus, they sing worship songs, they jump and clap and lift up their hands! But they never recieved the Holy Spirit. Satan believes in Jesus. The demons believe and tremble and they fear Him more than most of these churches do today. Belief has nothing to do with it. But receiving Him is salvation (John 1:11-12). Recieving the Holy Spirit. Recieving eternal life. Receiving and grafting the word of God into your heart and soul. When you are born again you are filled with the Holy Spirit. When you are born again your heart is converted from stone into flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). Your heart, your core, your center, the deepest part of your being that makes you who you are, has it been touched by the very finger of God and completely changed you from the inside out? Did that ever happen to you? Because if it did...if you experienced a radical transformative power and change that took place from within you. You can be sure you're saved. But if The Lord has never gripped your heart, If Jesus Christ has not apprehended you by His Spirit, You have never known him. And if you have never known Him, you are not saved. You must be born anew. Meditate on these things, consider these things, examine yourself, examine your life, read the scriptures, read the gospels, do not listen to anyone except for The Bible. If you want to know the truth, get into the Word. Watch the video below. Go to the website. Hear the Word of Truth. Read it for yourself. Read the gospel and epistles of John. Understand the divinity and the personhood of Jesus. Read the new testament. And do it again. Seek Him with all your heart, and you shall find Him. If you are not a disciple, you're not a Christian (Acts 11:26). You can say you are all you want. If you're not a disciple, you're not saved. If you're not a saint, you're not saved (1 Peter 2:9). If you say that you know Him, but walk in darkness, you are a liar (1 John 1:6). If you profess His name, but live in sin, you are dragging His Holy name through the mud, blaspheming him by your actions, and will be judged even more severely than the non-believer (2 Peter 2:20). Not a single hypocrite shall enter into the Kingdom of God (Matthew 23:15). Be not deceived, not a single fornicator, or idolater, or adulterer, or effeminate, or homosexual, or thief, or covetous, or drunkard, or reviler, or extortioner, shall inherit the kingdom of God. Without holiness, no one shall see The Lord (Hebrews 12:14). No one who curses will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. No one! When you get born again you can't even curse! The Holy Spirit convicts you so much if you do that, that you would change your ways. No pothead will enter the Kingdom of God, you can't pray if you're drunk or high. So what's more important? Your pleasure, or your addiction? Or God? Do you have an idol in your life? It'll bring you to Hell. It'll drag you down. What's more important? Isn't it better to repent, and cut that off? Isn't it better to cut off your own arm if it causes you to sin (Matthew 5:29-30)? If it leads you into sin continually, cut it off. Cut it off at the root cause. If you're a drunk and you can't handle the temptation, throw out all the booze you have, and stop going to social events until you're born again and stronger in your faith. don't go to the bar. don't go to the holiday party. It doesn't matter. Whatever it takes. You have not resisted yet to the shedding of blood (Hebrews 12:4). Crucify yourself (Matthew 16:24). Crucify your sin-daily (Luke 9:23).
If you do not exhibit the characteristics, the transformation, the impacting result and change that comes from becoming born again you have not been born again, do not marvel that I say, you MUST be born again (John 3:7)!
How do you become born again? First you must understand that you are a sinner, and that you need a savior. You have to know you're on the road to Hell, to find the way to Heaven. You have to sieze this opportunity with urgency, with passion, and with a furious desire. Full blown Sprint to Jesus, run straight to the cross, jump into His everlasting arms, and you will find rest for your soul. Fear the punishment and the judgment to come. Because it is coming and it is closer than you can imagine. If you deny Him he shall deny you. All men, everywhere are commanded to repent. And unless we repent, we shall all likewise perish (Luke 13:3). There is no exception, there is no favoritism, there is no partiality with the Lord (Romans 2:11). All are under sin. All are under the curse of death, all are on the way to Hell, by their own choice and their own willful rebellion. But in God's grace he came down in the body of Jesus Christ. In God's grace He took on the sin, the death, the destruction, the punishment and penalty of Hell we all deserve, upon His own body, becoming the very curse for us, who knew no sin, that we might become the rightousness of God through Him. You have to have God's righteousness to be saved. And Jesus made His rightousness available to you by the shedding of His blood. All you have to do is claim it, and receive it by absolute faith, trust, and commitment. If you do not put your faith in Him fully, you will not recieve the Holy Spirit, which is His righteousness, which is His holiness. Which is very being dwelling within your body. You become a living, breathing, walking temple, filled with the Spirit of the Living God. What fellowship does light have with darkness, what fellowship does God have with a demon? You cannot worship God and Satan at the same time. You cannot have a passion for the world (James 4:4) and a passion for Jesus, for one will rule over the other (Matthew 6:24). All these things will tell you if you're saved...and if you're not, here is what you need to do:
There's a false teaching that has spread throughout modern Christianity, popularized by the "billy graham crusades", and this is the heresy of public confessions of faith, altar calls, the sinner's prayer, teaching people that if they confess that Jesus is Lord, and if you believe that he died and raised from the dead, and say so publicly, that you're saved, and once you're saved you can never lose your salvation. This is a lie from the pit of Hell.
This teaching was designed by the enemy to produce false converts.
Isaiah 29:13 Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me
Here, the public profession means nothing.
Isaiah 48:1 Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the Lord, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
Here again, the public profession, the swearing of allegiance to Christ, means absolutely nothing if the person is not born again.
To profess Christ publicly means to declare Him with your lifestyle. It's evidenced by the fact that you love Jesus. You can't stop talking about Him. You can't stop thinking about Him. You are completely consumed by Him. You witness and evangelize everywhere you go. You bear fruits of repentance, evidence of your conversion. When the demoniac was delivered in Luke 8:38, he ran throughout the entire city proclaiming the great things God had done for him. That is exactly the confession Romans 10:9 is speaking of.
Luke 8:39 Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.
This is the true confession.
The true confession is that when we are born again, we become living breathing epistles of God (2 Corinthians 3:2-3). That we are a walking testimony of Jesus Christ wherever we go (2 Corinthians 4:10). That we preach and teach and share the gospel with all people, every moment we have the chance to. That our passion for the Lord is so evident, there can be no doubt whether or not we are saved. All of this is evidenced by the new life we lead in Christ.
1 Thessalonians 1:5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.
7 So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.
The gospel of salvation comes not in word only, not in public profession only, but in deed, and in power, and in The Holy Ghost.
